Hi there -
Other poets are cordially invited to join Ariel and me in this project! Whoever wakes up first (or stays up latest) will create a new post every day after midnight.
To clarify, we won't be looking for feedback at all during this month, though "you go girls" is welcome commentary. The idea of the exercize as I understand it is to just get out a whack of fresh material and not get caught up in a "is it good enough?" mentality. At the end of the month we may post some of the drafts or revisions up for critique.
So if you'd like to play, respond to one of these posts and commit to 31 Poetic Days of May!

Just so you know, P. and I were back and forth on whether feedback was at all appropriate.
Personally, I'll take all the dialogue and commentary I can get, but I can see how other people would find feedback as judgement. I can also see how this 'judgement' of something so preliminary as a first draft could be sort of...inhibiting.
In the end, we realized that we couldn't legislate commentary and so decided to let the individual poets figure out what they wanted and didn't want vis-a-vis feedback.
So, as far as feedback goes, it's up to the individual poets to let readers know whether or not they're interested.
(This post is, of course, feedback on the issue of feedback...)
