A site for May Day, an effort of poets from Winnipeg and beyond, taking place for the eleventh time in May 2015.
How pleasant it is to have four poems all at once...thanks for posting them all, and so promptly too!
This excercise draws me daily into the poetic possibilty of the otherwise mundane. I'm grateful for the poets who work and read here, for the connection they bring to solitary work... I couldn't let a mere road trip get in the way of that.
Hi Myra - I know what you mean about the poetic-mundane connection. Feel like I'm journaling via poetry - interesting...
The journal of a poet is always interesting, Polly, even if we try to write prose. We can't escape our language! I'll have plenty to rework, since I'm often staring at a blank page as posting deadline approaches and just start writing!
