after the fall 6

clara si, clara
clarity

a mountain
a path

a step, one step
I step

up up up
slow

slow, the mountain
stride step

a stick, a broken hand
a rhythm click

a mountain
path

duff, scruff
y soy soy soy

alive from sleep
weeks lost

alive a step
a stride a click

a white
a granite

summit
clara clarity

alive
amigos, ami

alive.

I like the halting rhythm in this one-- suggests hesitant, start-and-stop movement. I also kind of like the interplay of Spanish words, although I don't understand their role in the poem.

Yeh it's very much like two steps and a halt, I like how the form serves the content. The final word feels like the summit or halting place of the climb, but also the triumph of having survived a head injury...cuz dashing yr brains in is a legit way to cease to be. Beauty! Y me gusta the added español for rhythm. I found just one line a touch harder on the tongue: alive a step .. vague suggestion, perhaps: a step, alive (?)
