A site for May Day, an effort of poets from Winnipeg and beyond, taking place for the eleventh time in May 2015.
Poignant. Good.
I like the red images in the second line, the implication that red could be an image of richness--which somehow makes the 'red death' even worse.I did wish for more of a hint as to where the red death comes from, or who 'they' are.
I didn't question sister but I did also wonder who was telling the lies.(it's so specific, not "the lies" but "their" lies)more curiousity than quibble tho'!
ya sorry about this one - it was a real toss-off haiku in response to the dreadful photo of how the Yangtze river has turned red as "oolong tea" due to ? of course the world will never know - the Ch. gov't says it's just runoff. I don't think so.
