Good manners make good neighbors. What they say
is true: you can't resist my berry jam,
my lemon pie, my slow-cooked ham, displays
of books that feature Mrs. Van de Kamp.
I fold in two, in four, I bake, I tuck,
I dollop, crimp, and glaze, I darn, I baste,
I roast, ah-ha, you see, I glow with duck,
with glee I goose, I host, cerise flambe!
Now neatly cover up the past and scrub
those dirty memories clean. My Orson, best
in polo's, vests, and well-pressed pants, he loves
to keep things tidy. Me, I never rest,
perfection never blinks. All guilt's a sieve
it draws refined those sins we can't forgive.

nailed it!
ah, thank you! that bree, she is such a nut...
I think you got the voice down perfect in this one.
hmmm... I love sonnets! About TV shows! I like to write poems about TV, and I'm glad I'm not alone. I wish I had a better sense of the show so I could comment further about whether the voices are right, but so far these are really tight and great. Can't wait to read more.
