hidden (one)

she hides the broken jesus
beneath the crisply cleaned sheets
before
she answers his knock
.there is no redemption when
he is there to caress her sins
away
........tuck and patti play
to the symphony of
rules expunged, ephemeral
pleasures paid for
after he is gone

hiding a broken jesus between sheets...and who are tuck and patti? i love how this is a story you have to make up yourself, pretty much...

is this a reference to patti smith's cover over "gloria" that starts with the line "jesus died for somebody's sins but not mine." that's what i thought of but perhaps i am way, way off?

Tuck and Patti are a much loved jazz duo, big names in the jazz world & among musicians.
There's no reference to 'gloria', Rebecca..(I don't think I've ever heard it)

Like Tuck's fingers on his strings or Patti's velvety voice, both feel like a caress. Will she find salvation or duress ? --- J'ai hâte de lire le Reste !!
