Evening, (ii)

l'homme orange - 2ième partie

.
on s’arrête un instant
faire des anges dans le sable:

c’est joli le désert au coucher du soleil!

je partage ma couleur avec toi
et tu me demande pourquoi.

c’est la couleur de courage, ma réponse.

debout, coude à coude, on admire nos esprits
l’ange orange à la gauche

à la droite, le violet, tout petit.

Hi Marjolaine,

You mentioned you hadn't intended to write things in French but they're suddenly happening. I just wanted to mention how much I'm liking them. And that as a sometime-French-speaker, they're making me very homesick for Montreal.

Hey Marjo

I didn't even try at first to translate this, because I enjoyed the sounds of the poem first. I liked the way it rolled off my tongue, even though I'm sure I'm pronouncing some of the words wrong!

yeh i'll second Regan's comment, I've never lived in Montreal but spoke other things like french when i was little and although i'm very shy to try it as a grownup it is lovely to read.

it brings me back.

and sand angels how cool is that, i really liked that. the discussion.

the sound of "l'ange orange" is very fun. a pretty ending. I

wanted a little bit more at the beginning maybe? just one or two more lines to set them up...do you think? maybe best to just start, je ne sais pas :P

I, too, don't understand everything in this poem, but I like the sound and rhythm of it.

Thanks for all the great comments! This is (btw) a continuation to L'homme Orange, and just perhaps things will become a bit clearer.. or not(?)
